On boarding and Employment
MSI GEO Services in-country service partners are experts and well versed in all local employment laws, compliance and regulatory requirements and work closely with the client to construct the appropriate assignment letter and employment contract for the designated employee. Contracted employees are introduced to their in-country GEO employment administration team and provided with a clear description and understanding of their benefits and payroll administration processes.
The employees’ in-country team will be their local point of contact for all employment, payroll and benefits administration issues during the term of their local employment agreement.
MSI provides expert immigration services to clients to assure that contracted employees apply for and receive the appropriate immigration status and documentation to work in the host county. MSI Immigration Services initiates, drives and tracks the employee’s immigration status throughout the duration of the local employment contract to assure their status remains legal and compliant.
Global Payroll Administration
MSI’s global compensation and payroll administration services are designed to provide timely, accurate and compliant payroll services to the assignee within the host country. Foreign payroll calculations including tax and social contributions can be complex and varied depending on the policies of the home and host countries and the individual employee’s tax residency. Through our partner network of in-country partners we calculate and process all local payrolls and assure that all income and social tax filings are processed compliantly.
MSI GEO Services in-country partners are capable of providing a full venue of localized HR management services. Typically acting as the local interface between the contracted employee and the client’s HR function, our partners are able to administer compliant employee terminations should they be required.
Corporate and Employee Tax and Compliance Management
Global employers face a number of tax and compliance issues including the avoidance of creating unwanted permanent entities, the maximization of corporate deductions, transfer pricing, VAT, and the management of social tax contribution programs. Additionally contract employees must ensure that their tax withholdings comply with local requirements and are accurate according to their actual employment status.
